Dr Schmidt's personality is electric — but unlike Ben Franklin's key discovery, he actually mixes well with water. The ocean is his happy place. (His whole family loves to scuba dive!) He's always got something (ok, multiple things) keeping him busy and the entire package is wrapped in a fun-loving generous personality that is leading you on an adventure. He was born and raised in the small rural town of Hughson in Central California, but that humble beginning didn't hold him back from making the most out of the world. He attended the University of the Pacific where he smashed his classes with brilliant success that led him on to continue achievements at the Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco where he was awarded his DDS degree for his continued outstanding academic excellence in 2003. After his schooling, his focus shifted to service in his old stomping grounds of Modesto, California where he owned and operated a thriving dental practice. His commitment to family, friends, patients and community is one slice of his passion for life, but one that holds the greatest rewards. After nearly 20 years of holding and cherishing the title of "Head Door Greeter" at his private practice, he and his wife, Amelia, decided a new adventure awaited them, and the family has called Northwest Arkansas home since 2022. Their children continue to shine in their own remarkable pursuits: their son is putting the finishing touches on his PhD in Neuroscience, and their daughter, a graduate of the Eastman School of Music, is now pursuing her Master's degree in Vocal Performance at UNCSA in Winston-Salem as she trains for a career as an opera singer. Dr Schmidt has also deepened his commitment to service, dedicating more time to his church and volunteering his dental skills on trips to Africa to care for communities in need. When not in the office helping solve daily dental dilemmas, Dr Schmidt can be found on all the trails NWA has to offer, occasionally with a dog or two in tow, the avid runner he is! And if you can't find him there, he's likely at an awesome restaurant to help fuel the next run! Or at an opera!

Hi, I'm Darlene (AKA – Dee) With more than 30 years of experience in dentistry, I have dedicated my career to helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles. My journey began as a dental assistant and grew into founding a dental assisting school, where I had the privilege of educating and mentoring future dental assistants. Over the years, I have also served as a Business Team Lead and Office Manager, gaining a well-rounded understanding of patient care and practice management. I am passionate about dentistry and believe there is nothing more rewarding than seeing someone smile with confidence. I enjoy educating patients so they can make informed decisions about their overall oral health and feel empowered throughout their dental journey. Outside the office, I love spending time outdoors, traveling, and making memories with my four grandchildren and family. Building lasting relationships and helping others smile is what inspires me every day.

Penny has been in the dental field for more than 25 years, with most of those years practicing dental hygiene. She graduated from Medical College of Georgia in 2004, and has seen the dental field change in many ways over the last couple of decades. She first started working at “All About Smiles” temporarily in early 2026, but was convinced to join permanently a few months later after spending time caring for such wonderful patients and working with a talented team of dental professionals. While new to the practice, she is a Springdale native and has lived in NWA for many years. She has enjoyed getting to know our long time patients, and looks forward to meeting new ones, providing quality dental care to each one.
